Free Chess Program for All Ages

Free Chess Program for All Ages In-Person

Join us at the West Haven Public Library for a free, instructional chess program! This program will take place over the course of eight weeks and will feature 2022 Connecticut Women’s Champion and University of New Haven graduate student Dharani Sree Ravi as the instructor.

This program is a continuation of last season's classes and will feature more intermediate lessons. The program will include age and skill appropriate group lessons on strategy, including chess basics, supervised practice play, and other instructional and fun chess activities. This program will meet once per week on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, starting on March 25th. The full list of dates are below:

This is a free program, provided as part of the Connecticut State Chess Association’s “A Place to Play” initiative for the Connecticut chess community. This program is co-sponsored by the CSCA, the West Haven Library, and the US Chess Trust.
