CT Storytelling Center In-Person
Looking for something different to do over April vacation? Join us at the Ora Mason library for a special story hour with Ann Shapiro Executive Director from the CT Storytelling Center. Ann will use the ancient art of storytelling and singing together using folk instruments and be assisted in some of her stories by finger puppets. Part of the program will be devoted to the environment since Earth Day is right around the corner. Imbedded in the songs and stories is a message about appreciating and conserving the earth's resources. Other mulit cultural folk tales will focus on problem-solving. Plan on laughing and participating during this program as it creates a feeling of community as everyone joins in. Children between the ages of 5 and 10 years old are encouraged to register with siblings and parents welcome in attendance. In addition, each child that registered and attends will be able to choose and keep a free book📚courtesy of CT Humanities.
